And now… The Opening Credit Title

Get excited. Get very excited.

You've come this far.

You might recall a great line from the end of The Shawshank Redemption, Morgan Freeman is reading a note left for him by Tim Robbins. Something to the effect of: You’ve come this far, maybe you’re willing to go a bit father. Well my dear readers, we’re close to finishing the film. But we still […]

Emotionally Prepare Yourself

Dear Readers! Kingdom of Gravy is about to go through some very major changes and this may be my only chance to warn you. As we enter a new chapter of post-production I want to thank everyone for their unbelievable support and encouragement. Words cannot tell you just how proud I am already, and in many […]

Scott's Back

This is what the edit looks like. Scott Rankin is usually facing the other way. We give him cookies when he cuts something well. The process is magic.

Channeling Magnum.

Gravy editor Scott Rankin and I just produced a sweet parody of the Magnum PI show open for USA Network and their (Emmy winning) detective series Monk.  Normally I wouldn’t bring up  non-movie related news in this space but today I’m making an exception. This is bad ass in a very silly way and I’m happy […]

This Just Lynn!

Kingdom of Gravy’s very own Lynn Cohen is featured in this weeks Entertainment Weekly! An aptly titled article about The Hardest Working Actors in Showbiz.  We’re so proud!!! Check it out. **Notice she’s center square, Making her our Whoopi, Bruce Vilanch or Alf depending on when you last watched daytime television.

Edit Magic!

So the saying goes, “We’ll fix it in post”. How do we keep the fever alive while the talented artists at Northern Lights Post and I carefully put the puzzle together? Surely, we’ll have some video pieces and a trailer up sometime this fall, but in the meantime… How about a few Kingdom of Gravy […]

Wrap Party Action

Many thanks to the cast, crew and their loved ones for all of their support throughout production. The much hyped and long anticipated wrap party will be held Friday August 15th!   We will be serving designer waffles and auctioning off Bill’s USA Bikini for charity. Goodtimes…

Golda and Crumb

Soon to be beloved on screen duo James Urbaniak and Lynn Cohen.  Portrait courtesy of set photographer Mark Rosenberg.

The Fast Lane

It was so much fun I could cry. We wrapped on Friday night, and at the risk of turning some of you off with some supremely  gushy sentimental-ness: This was simply the greatest experience of my life. I can’t thank you all enough. The talent that runs so deeply through the generous cast, the commitment […]

Day 15 of 15

As we head into our last day of principle photography on the film I am both excited and sad. I’m going to miss the cast and crew. The impossibly kind new friends we’ve made on location, and the complete disregard for natures sleep cycle. Well, maybe not the last part.

Captains Log, 4am

Only two days left of filming, and that’s it. We wrapped around 2am this morning and I may be seeing double. Lynn and James are truly two of the most talented actors I’ve ever worked with. Okay, sleep calls, to sate you dear reader, pictures from the set.

Eleanor & The Thunderbird

Wait, what? Thunderbird? Weren’t we looking for a Cadillac Eldorado…?   The shortest answer to all of this, and I hope you agree, is that this 1966 T-Bird is such a sexier ride for Lynn Cohen. Vehicle and beauty shot below are complements of our new friend Larry. Check it out.  And in other news: […]

We're selling out already.

Heading to New Jersey on Monday with our awesome cast and crew. Check back next week for live updates from the set.  In the meantime…  We all knew it would come to this eventually, but even I didn’t think it would be so soon. Announcing the Kingdom of Gravy “crew” T-Shirt now on sale! Support the […]
